Varsity Boys Golf: Marathon vs. Newark Valley

The Marathon Olympians defeated Newark Valley with a team score of 190-202 Tuesday. (Reminder: Lowest score in golf wins).

Varsity Baseball: Cincinnatus vs. Madison (Double-Header)

The Cincinnatus Lions played a double-header against Madison Tuesday afternoon. Cincinnatus lost the first game 3-12, but won the second game 1-0.

Cincinnatus was led by Cason Stafford (1 run), Koda Temple (1 RBI & 1 strikeout thrown), Canden Stafford (1 run, 1 hit & 2 RBI’s), Scott Schuyler (1 run & 1 hit), and Scott Schuyler (4 strikeouts thrown).

Varsity Baseball: McGraw vs. Stockbridge Valley

The McGraw Eagles tied against Stockbridge Valley with a score of 6-6 on the road Tuesday afternoon. 

With this result, the Eagles now hold a 5-5-1 record.

Mcgraw’s next game is scheduled to be played at home today (May 18th) at 4:30pm against Marathon.  

Varsity Baseball: Cortland vs. Lansing

The Cortland Purple Tigers lost a close game to Lansing with a score of 5-6 Tuesday evening. With this loss, Cortland has fallen to a 16-2 record. 

Cortland was led by Max Gambitta (1 run & 2 hits), Tyler Blake (3 hits & 2 RBI’s), Caden Congdon (1 hit & 4 strikeouts thrown), Ethan Hay (1 hit), Kooper Knabe (1 run & 1 hit), Andrew Partigianoni (2 runs), Caden Albright (1 run, 1 hit & 2 RBI’s), and Scott Hourigan (1 hit & 4 strikeouts thrown).

Varsity Softball: Cortland vs. Auburn (Double-Header)

The Cortland Lady Tigers fell to an overall record of 3-11 after losing both games of a double header to Auburn Tuesday evening.

Cortland was led by Kaedyn Murphy (1 hit) and Brenna Hogan (3 strikeouts thrown). 

Auburn was led by Madison Lowe (1 run), Sydney Marinelli (3 runs, 3 hits & 1 RBI), Grace Hoey (1 run, 2 hits & 3 strikeouts thrown), Cayleigh Currier (1 run, 2 hits & 2 RBI’s), Emma Merkley (1 run & 1 RBI), Kaitlyn Catalone (1 hit), and Elise Clifford (1 run, 1 hit & 1 RBI). 

Game 2

Varsity Softball: Homer vs. Solvay

The Homer Lady Trojans lost a close game to Solvay with a final score of 10-9. With this result, Homer has fallen to an 8-8 record. 

Homer was led by Alexis Small (1 run), Sara Cargen (1 run), Cecelia Rappleyea (1 run & 1 hit), Catherine Apker (3 runs), Jenna Henderson (1 RBI & 1 strikeout thrown), Lyla Read (1 run), Lillian Luety (2 runs, 2 hits & 2 RBI’s), and Alexandria Kellaway (1 hit & 1 RBI). 

Solvay was led by Jenna Wing (2 runs, 2 hits 7 9 strikeouts thrown), Antoinette Sardo (2 runs & 1 hit), Rachel Willsey (3 runs), Navaeh Baker (1 run, 1 hit & 1 RBI), Delaney Kaszubinski (1 run & 1 RBI), Susie Overend (1 run, 1 hit & 1 RBI), and Ellyahna Olvarria (2 RBI’s).

Varsity Softball: McGraw vs. Stockbridge Valley

The McGraw Lady Eagles fell to a 0-11 record after losing 1-25 against Stockbridge Valley. 

McGraw was led by Megan Stull (1 run & 1 hit), Isabelle Pitcher (1 hit), and Adrianna Stacconi (5 strikeouts thrown).

McGraw’s next game is now scheduled to take place on the road against Otselic Valley at 4:30pm today (May 18th). 

Varsity Softball: Cincinnatus vs. Brookfield

The Cincinnatus Lady Lions lost a tough game to Brookfield Tuesday evening with a score of 2-7. 

With this loss, Cincinnatus now holds a 5-8 record.

Up next, Cincinnatus will play against McGraw on the road this Thursday (May 19th) at 4:30pm. 

Varsity Boys Lacrosse: Homer vs. Marcellus

The Homer Trojans improved to a 10-5 record after defeating Marcellus with a final score of 12-9 Tuesday night. 

Homer was led by Hunter Riehlman (2 goals & 2 assists), Logan Goodman (1 goal & 2 assists), Reid Partis (4 goals & 1 assist), Jake Calabro (5 goals), and Benjamin Bradhaw (9 saves). 

Marcellus was led by Donavan Fraher (2 goals & 1 assist), Chris Doshna (2 goals), Doryn LeClair (1 goal & 4 assists), Marcus Darminio (1 goal), Adam Rayfield (2 goals & 1 assists), Nick Rayfield (1 goal), and Quenten Polkowski (8 saves). 

This was Homer’s last game of the regular season. 

Up next, Homer will wait to see who their first opponent will be in the Sectional Tournament. According to the Section III website, there will be a seeding meeting tonight (May 18th).

Varsity Girls Lacrosse: Homer vs. Marcellus

The Homer Lady Trojans lost 6-16 against Marcellus in their last game of the regular season.

Homer was led by Kloey Roos (5 goals), Maria Partis (1 goal), Gracie Patriarco (2 assists), and Sarah Sovocool (6 saves). 

Marcellus was led by Cecilia Powell (4 goals & 4 assists), Claire Card (2 goals & 1 assist), Quinn Barnett (3 goals & 1 assist), Lauren Weidner (1 goal), Anna Spitzer (4 goals), Annalise Bird (1 goal), Kadie Tierney (1 goal), and Janie Powell (11 saves). 

With this loss, Homer ended their regular season with a 13-4 overall record. 

Up next, the Lady Trojans will wait to see who their first opponent will be in the Sectional Tournament. According to the Section III website, there will be a seeding meeting tonight (May 18th).

Varsity Girls Lacrosse: Cortland vs. Syracuse

The Cortland Lady Tigers ended their regular season with a 5-11 record after beating Syracuse 14-13 Tuesday night. 

Cortland was led by Lillian Call (3 goals & 1 assist), Gabrielle Cranfield (6 goals & 2 assists), Gabriella Brown (1 assist), Valerosa Gambitta (3 goals), Ryleigh Larkin (1 goal), Mya Willey (1 goal), and Ella Starinsky  (9 saves).  

Syracuse was led by Aniyah Cosby (4 goals & 1 assist), Emma Cecile (3 goals), Brigid Burns (1 assist), Johnnae Rice (2 goals & 1 assist), Alayna Wood (3 goals & 1 assist), Leah Nowak (1 goal), and Kiley Monroe (5 saves).
