Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, May 23, 2022:

Much cooler air will settle back into the area today behind yesterday’s cold front.

Still, it will be a pleasant enough day. Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds. The thickest clouds will come during the morning hours, while the clouds will be mainly thin for the afternoon.

Winds will be out of the north and northwest, but not overly strong. Wind speeds will be 5-10 mph with gusts around 20 mph.

High temperatures this afternoon will approach but probably not quite reach 65 degrees. The hills in the northern parts of the county may stick to the low 60s.

Tonight, thin clouds will persist across the region and may even become a bit thicker over time. No precipitation is expected, though.

Evening temperatures will quickly fall back into the upper 40s with mid 40s overnight.

Tuesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Wednesday: Thin overcast with some sun filtering through. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Thursday: A few showers and late thunderstorms possible. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Friday: A few showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 70.
