Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, May 24, 2022:

High pressure will keep our weather dry today, but low pressure far to the south will continue to provide some cloud cover.

Clouds will be commonplace throughout the day. The best chances for some sunshine will come early this morning and perhaps late in the day. Some periods will have thin clouds that at least allow some sunlight to filter through.

Despite the clouds, no rain is expected.

Winds will be from the south and southeast today with speeds around 5 mph. Top gusts should stay under 20 mph.

Temperatures will be a bit warmer than yesterday thanks to the southerly winds. Temperatures will be right around the seasonal average in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.

Tonight, clouds will stick around, helping hold temperatures up a bit. Evening temperatures will slowly fall into the mid and low 50s, with upper 40s likely overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Thin overcast with some sun filtering through. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy but dry until after sunset. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Friday: Scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: More sun than clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
