Your Cortland County weather forecast for Wednesday, May 25, 2022:

Today will be another dry day, but clouds will be plentiful throughout.

Much of the cloud cover will be located high in the atmosphere as a deck of thinner overcast. Some limited sunshine will likely filter through the clouds.

If there is any break in this overcast, it will likely come during the afternoon. However, there will also be some fair weather clouds that develop, so the chances for full on sunshine are very low.

No rain is expected from any of the clouds, despite their consistent blanketing presence.

Winds will be from the south with a gradual increase in wind speed. This morning, speeds will be under 5 mph. That will increase to 5-10 mph this afternoon and to around 10 mph overnight.

Temperatures will be seasonable with highs around or slightly above 70 degrees. Evening temperatures will retreat to the mid 50s with overnight lows in the low 50s.

Skies will remain cloudy through the night, but dry conditions will persist.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Mostly cloudy but dry until after sunset. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Friday: Scattered showers and maybe a thunderstorm. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds with a few showers or thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds, but dry. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
