A Town of Cortlandville man was arrested on Tuesday in regard to allegedly having “inappropriate sexual contact” with a minor, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.
Back on Feb. 10, the county sheriff’s office received a complaint for a “possible sex crime investigation,” the report states.
The investigation discovered that Eugene F. Hopkins, Jr., 53, was the one who had “inappropriate sexual contact” with a minor. Hopkins responded to the county sheriff’s office, and was arrested Tuesday afternoon, the report notes.
Hopkins has been charged with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child (Both Class-A Misdemeanors). He was arraigned and released on one’s own recognizance.
