Your Cortland County weather forecast for Friday, May 27, 2022:

Unsettled weather will move into the area today as high pressure departs to our east.

On and off rain showers are likely throughout the day. No one time period looks more or less likely than another for rain, but it should not rain the entire day.

Late in the afternoon and this evening, a few thunderstorms may pop up as well. While most areas will not see a thunderstorm, anything that manages to develop could have some locally gusty winds.

Outside of the thunderstorms, south winds will continue to be blustery. Wind speeds will be 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Despite the south winds, the clouds and showers will hold temperatures in check. Look for afternoon highs in the mid or low 70s.

Temperatures tonight will drop back into the 60s and should bottom out around 60 degrees. Rain showers will continue to be possible through the overnight and into Saturday morning.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Morning showers. Some afternoon sun. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon in the mid 60s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds, but dry. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Sun and a few clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.
