A hot and slightly muggy day is ahead to close out the month of May.

Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. There should be more clouds than the last few days, but still plenty of sunshine as well.

There may be enough moisture to trigger a stray afternoon shower. Most areas will not see rain, and those that do will only see a very brief period of rain. A little thunder and lightning could be possible as well.

Temperatures will climb into the mid and possibly upper 80s this afternoon. Dewpoints will be around, or at times just over, 60 degrees.

Winds will be out of the west, turning to the northwest this afternoon. Wind speeds will be 5-10 mph, with the strongest winds in the afternoon. Top gusts on the day will come in around 25 mph.

Tonight, skies will remain mixed with a very small chance for a stray shower or storm. The clouds may thicken up some after midnight.

It will remain warm with evening temperatures around 70 degrees and overnight lows in the mid 60s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Friday: More sun than clouds. A few showers, especially early. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.
