According to the county health department, as of May 27, the level of COVID-19 transmission in Cortland County is low. For the week of May 23-29, there were 92 positive cases, a few hospitalizations and two deaths.

As of May 30, there have been 11,551 total positive cases, over 680 total hospitalizations and 123 deaths in the county. According to the state’s current COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 5.1% and 19.7, respectively. 

As of May 31, the percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is over 59.6%, with 62.9% of residents that are 5 years-or-older reported as fully vaccinated. Additional county numbers show that 57.9% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
