Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Tuesday, June 7

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from May 30-June 5. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

According to the county health department, as of June 3, the level of COVID-19 transmission in Cortland County is low. For the week of May 30-June 5, there were 51 positive cases, nine hospitalizations, but no deaths.

As of June 5, there have been 11,576 total positive cases, over 689 total hospitalizations and 123 deaths in the county. According to the state’s current COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 2.8% and 8.7, respectively. 

As of June 6, the percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is over 59.7%, with 62.9% of residents that are 5 years-or-older reported as fully vaccinated. Additional county numbers show that 58% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
