A wedge of quiet weather will move in today between yesterday’s rain and another low pressure system passing by tomorrow morning.

Skies will be a pleasant mix of sun and fair-weather clouds throughout the day. The clouds will grow through afternoon and a brief shower cannot be totally ruled out.

The majority of the county will not see rain, and if it did rain at all, it would be very brief and very light.

Northwest winds will blow at around 5 mph. These winds will turn around to the east after sunset with similar speeds.

The northwest winds will keep it from being too hot, but it will not be too cool, either. Look for afternoon highs in the low 70s, which is right about on the climatological average.

Clouds will increase tonight as the next weather system approaches from the southwest. Rain will move in after midnight and especially after 3 AM. This rain may persist into Thursday morning.

Nighttime temperatures will drop back into the mid 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Periods of rain possible in the morning and midday hours. Some late sun. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with some showers possible. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
