Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, June 12, 2022:

Another weather disturbance will move through the region today, triggering more showers and a few thunderstorms.

The morning hours should be mostly dry with a mix of sun and clouds. By the midday hours, scattered showers will begin to move into the area.

On and off showers and a few thunderstorms will continue during the afternoon. It will not rain the whole time, but several rounds of rain are possible.

Conditions are marginal for thunderstorms, but any that do form could have some gusty winds.

A few lingering showers will be possible into the early evening hours before skies begin to partially clear. A few areas of evening fog could be possible as well.

Winds will be out of the south today at speeds of 5-10 mph. The wind will turn more southwesterly and drop in speed late in the afternoon as the disturbance moves by.

Temperatures will work their way into the low or even mid 70s by midday. Afternoon temperatures will fluctuate between the low 70s when it is not rainy, and the mid and upper 60s while it rains.

Tonight’s temperatures will slowly drop through the 60s and into the upper 50s with overnight lows in the mid 50s.

Monday: A few early showers. Then some sun. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Possibly some evening thunder. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Thursday: Sun, clouds, and afternoon showers and storms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
