Cortland baseball sweeps all-league awards

The Cortland varsity baseball team swept the major awards for the SCAC Empire Division all-league honors.

Tyler Blake was named the SCAC Empire Division’s Player of the Year. Kooper Knabe received the nod as Pitcher of the Year, and Ben Albright was selected as Coach of the Year for the Tigers.

Knabe, along with Scott Hourigan, received all-league first-team nods as pitchers. First-team selections in the infield were Caden Albright and Blake. In the outfield for Cortland, first-team honors went to Andrew Partigianoni and Max Gambitta.

Second-team selections for the Tigers are as follows:

  • Ethan Johnson, catcher
  • Caden Congdon, infielder
  • Chris Yang, outfielder

Ethan Hay and Luke Rogoff received honorable mentions.
