Your Cortland County weather forecast for Wednesday, June 15, 2022:

Temperatures and humidity will start to increase today but the weather should remain quiet and dry.

Light southeast winds will blow at around 5 mph today. Just above the surface, though, winds will be out of the southwest, beginning to import warmer, more humid air towards our area.

Afternoon highs should top out around 80 degrees. Dewpoints will spend most of the day in the upper 50s but will increase into the low 60s by sunset.

Skies will be a mix of sun and a few clouds. Clouds will be most plentiful early in the morning, with ample sunshine through the midday and afternoon hours.

Clouds will increase again this evening as showers and thunderstorms develop over the western Finger Lakes. A few of these showers may linger as they drift eastward, moving into Cortland County mainly after midnight.

Evening temperatures will fall into the upper 60s with a slow drop to overnight lows in the low 60s. During the nighttime hours, winds will turn southerly and increase to near 10 mph.

Thursday: Sun, clouds, and scattered afternoon severe storms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Friday: Some sun. A few showers. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
