NYSP: Man faces child pornography charges

A Town of Cortlandville man is facing child pornography charges following an investigation that stemmed from a cyber tip, according to a New York State Police release.

According to the release, Mason L. Kneedler, 25, is being accused of “possessing images consistent of child sexual exploitation.” The tip related to the accusations came from the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The New York State Bureau of Criminal at Homer, with assistance from the Troop “C” Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested Kneedler on Thursday, the report states.

Kneedler has been charged with five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child (a Class-E Felony).

Kneedler was processed and issued appearance tickets to the Cortlandville court on July 11.
