High pressure will have firm but cool grip on the region today.

Sun-filled skies will be the rule from start to finish today. Scarcely a cloud will be found, and those that are will be just a few thin wisps of cirrus clouds.

Obviously, with no clouds, there will be no precipitation today either.

With the center of high pressure to our southwest, winds will be out of the northwest. Like yesterday, these winds will be blustery at times.

Wind speeds will build to around 15 mph this morning and persist into the first half of the afternoon. Gusts as high as 35 mph will be possible during this time.

Late in the afternoon, the wind will start to die down with wind speeds reduced to around 5 mph by the evening.

The northwest winds will make for another cool day. Afternoon highs will struggle to make it into the low 60s.

Skies will remain clear tonight with temperatures falling back into the mid 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Morning sun, afternoon clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, possibly with morning rain and thunder. Maybe some late sun. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Wednesday: Sunny and clouds. Afternoon showers and storms possible. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
