A warm front will slowly move through the area this morning.

Accompanying the front will be a few early rain showers. These will be most likely before 9 am. After that, the sun will gradually increase as the front creeps eastward.

By the afternoon, skies will be a mix of sun and clouds. South winds will blow lightly at around 5 mph. It will be warmer, but the hottest air will stay just west of the area.

Afternoon highs should be a degree or two on either side of 80 degrees. If the sun works its way out a bit sooner, highs could reach the low 80s.

Afternoon showers and a few storms will develop along the warm front just east of the region. These should stay out of Cortland County, but a stray shower cannot be totally ruled out, especially east of I-81.
