Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, June 21, 2022:

A warm front will slowly move through the area this morning.

Accompanying the front will be a few early rain showers. These will be most likely before 9 am. After that, the sun will gradually increase as the front creeps eastward.

By the afternoon, skies will be a mix of sun and clouds. South winds will blow lightly at around 5 mph. It will be warmer, but the hottest air will stay just west of the area.

Afternoon highs should be a degree or two on either side of 80 degrees. If the sun works its way out a bit sooner, highs could reach the low 80s.

Afternoon showers and a few storms will develop along the warm front just east of the region. These should stay out of Cortland County, but a stray shower cannot be totally ruled out, especially east of I-81.

Skies will be mixed tonight with some periods of mostly clear skies and others with some clouds. South and southeast winds will blow at 5-10 mph.

Evening temperatures will gradually drop through the 60s with overnight lows in the upper 50s.

Thursday: More sun than clouds. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a shower. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
