A stalled out frontal boundary will be in the area today, keeping clouds plentiful and showers in the forecast.

The showers will be possible at any time today. Most of the rain will be to the east this morning, but this afternoon, more widespread activity may develop in the daytime heating.

Thunderstorms and heavy rain are generally not expected.

A few breaks of sun will be possible, but clouds will be more common throughout the day.

Winds will be variable today with the front nearby or even swinging back to the west at times. When the front is to the east, light northwest winds will blow. If the front pushes back to the west, winds will turn southerly and increase to near 10 mph.

Temperatures will be influenced by the frontal position, and the ratio of showers to sunshine, but should end up in the vicinity of 75 degrees. Some western parts of the county may be warmer, while eastern areas may be cooler.

The front will make eastward progress late in the day, leading to an end of the rain showers and clearing skies tonight. Temperatures will fall into the upper 50s this evening with overnight lows in the mid 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: More sun than clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Saturday: More sun than clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Late day showers and storms. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.
