County Sheriff’s Office: Copper wire stolen from local National Grid building

An undisclosed amount of copper wire was recently stolen from the National Grid substation on Route 11 in the town of Cortlandville, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.

The report notes that the larceny took place between this past Thursday and Monday.

Those with information related to the larceny are asked to call Lt. Garry Williams at 607-758-5583. Williams declined to comment on further details within the investigation.

The county sheriff’s office would like to remind residents if they see something unusual, call 911 or 607-753-3311.
