A small disturbance will pass through late this afternoon, possibly touching off a few stray showers.

Dry conditions are likely through the morning and early afternoon. Sunshine will mix with both thin cirrus clouds aloft and fair weather cumulus clouds lower in the atmosphere.

Those clouds will grow larger during the second half of the afternoon as the disturbance swings through. A few may produce some showers. Much of the rain will be light and brief, only lasting a couple of minutes. Many areas will not see rain at all.

There is an even small chance for one or two slightly larger, heavier showers than could have a few rumbles of thunder.

The chance for showers will continue into the early evening but should end between 10 PM and Midnight.

From there, skies will gradually clear out during the overnight.

Winds will start the day from the southwest with speeds around or just over 5 mph. The wind will then turn more westerly for the afternoon while increasing to near 10 mph. Tonight, the wind will drop and become calm.

With the sun and southwest winds through the first part of the day, temperatures will be a bit warmer than the last couple of days. Look for highs in the upper 70s.

Tonight, temperatures will stick in the low 60s early but will eventually drop to the mid 50s overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs near 90.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with showers. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.
