The annual Chris’ 5K/10K run will be held in the Town of Cincinnatus this Saturday, with each race beginning at 8 a.m.

The cost for each race is $35, and the deadline for both races is 11:59 p.m. later today. To register for either of the races, click here.

Put on by the Chris Tennant Foundation, the yearly race is in dedication of the late Chris Tennant.

Proceeds from the event will be used to “help the youth in our community make healthy choices about diet and exercise,” according to a description of the event.

“We also promote the ‘don’t drink and drive’ message,” the description notes, with the event as a whole bringing awareness to the dangers of underage drinking and drinking & driving.

The 5K portion of the event starts at the Cincinnatus Town Park on State Route 26, and is on an “out and back” course that is “fairly flat,” according to the description.

The 10K side of the event is a loop that starts on the bridge near the town park. This race includes “some gently rolling hills,” based on the description, and has the same finish line as the 5K race.
