High pressure will slide in from the north today and should keep a frontal boundary to the south tonight.

Skies will be sunny this morning, though some thin clouds will mix in. Fair-weather cumulus clouds will bubble up by the late morning. These may become thick at times through the afternoon, but the sun will still poke in and out.

The clouds will diminish this evening but will probably not completely dissipate.

No rain is expected during the daytime hours. A stray shower cannot be totally ruled out this evening, but the chances for rain are low.

Winds today will be light and variable. The wind direction will be changing throughout the day, but speeds will be under 5 mph, so it will be hardly noticeable and will have little impact on the airmass.

Temperatures should be warmer than yesterday, but not too hot. Look for highs in the upper 70s to perhaps near 80 degrees.

Evening temperatures will fall through the 60s with an overnight low around 60 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sunshine filtered through thin clouds. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: Lots of sun. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.
