Your Cortland County weather forecast for Friday, July 8, 2022:

A subtle weather system will pass through the area today with little impact.

Skies will be a mix today, but sunshine may not be out in full force for much of the day. A deck of thin clouds will be present, filtering the sunshine at times.

A few fair weather clouds will also develop this afternoon as the disturbance moves in. One or two brief, isolated showers cannot be ruled out. The majority, if not all the area will stay dry.

A light west wind will blow through the morning hours with speeds near or under 5 mph. For the afternoon, the wind will increase and turn to the northwest. Wind speeds will be 5-10 mph with gusts around 20 mph.

Temperatures will be seasonable with highs ranging from the upper 70s in the north to the low 80s in the south. Dewpoints will be in the upper 50s.

This evening, skies will turn partly cloudy to mostly clear. Evening temperatures will slowly drop through the 60s with an overnight low in the mid 50s.
