High pressure will deliver cooler, drier air behind a subtle cold front that moved through overnight.

North winds ahead of the high will strengthen this morning, building to around 10 mph. These winds will persist much of the day, gusting as high as 25 mph at times.

Dry air will build in, with surface dewpoints in just the mid 40s. The dry air will not be limited to the surface, though. Precipitable Water is a measurement of the moisture throughout the atmosphere. Its values today will be a mere 20-30% of what it typically is in July.

Unsurprisingly, with such a dry atmosphere, clouds will be scarce. If any clouds are seen today, they will likely be thin clouds high in the atmosphere.

The one exception may be some thicker lingering clouds very early this morning as the front pulls away. No rain is expected with these morning clouds.

Temperatures will be a bit cooler than average, but still plenty comfortable. Highs will be in the mid 70s this afternoon.

Tonight, with clear skies, calming winds, and the dry air, temperatures will fall quickly. Overnight lows will mainly be in the low 50s, but pockets of 40s are likely as well.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Lots of sun. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.

Tuesday: Sun, clouds, and a few scattered showers or storms. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a stray shower. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
