Two City of Cortland men were arrested earlier this week following a physical altercation between each other at a residence in the Town of Cortlandville, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.
The report states that Dustin C. Cortright, 26, and Austin W. Vogt, 25, engaged in confrontation “in the presence of two children.” The county sheriff’s office did not provide any further information surrounding the altercation or the arrests.
Cortright was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal contempt and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child – both misdemeanors. Cortright also received several traffic infractions, including operating without a license, operating without insurance, uninspected motor vehicle and two counts of operating out of class.
Vogt was arrested and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Cortright and Vogt were both arraigned and released on one’s own recognizance. Vogt is slated to appear in Cortlandville court at 11:30 a.m. July 20, while Cortright is scheduled to appear in the same court at 11 a.m. July 25.
