A cold front will move through the area today with some scattered showers and storms.

The morning hours should be mostly quiet, though a stray shower cannot be totally ruled out. Clouds will mix with a little sunshine at times through the morning.

Scattered showers and storms will develop early this afternoon to our west and should move through the area between 1-4 PM. There is a small chance for a briefly stronger storm with some gusty winds or small hail.

Since the precipitation will be hit-or-miss, not all areas will see rain. Those that do will probably not see much with small, quick moving storm cells.

The late afternoon will have some breaks of sun, but clouds will remain plentiful. Clouds will linger into the evening and overnight with a few stray showers possible. Any rain that falls will be brief and light.

Winds will start the day from the southwest at just over 5 mph. These winds will persist into the middle of the afternoon, after which they will turn to the west and northwest. Overnight, the wind will shift back to the southwest with speeds around 5 mph.

Temperatures will rise to the low 80s by the early afternoon, but should not get any higher than that. Evening temperatures will be slow to drop below 70 degrees with an overnight low in the mid 60s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Maybe some early showers. Afternoon sun. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.
