Warm and humid conditions will continue with just a small chance for some afternoon rain and thunder.

Skies will be sunny this morning, allowing temperatures to rise in a hurry from an already mild start. Fair-weather clouds will develop and mix in with the sunshine.

This afternoon, the fair weather clouds will continue to increase and grow. A few will produce some showers or thunderstorms, but these should be widely scattered across the region.

If it does happen to rain, though, the storms will be slow moving, so it may last for a while and bring some locally heavy amounts. Most areas will probably not see the rain, though.

Temperatures will rise into the mid and upper 80s this afternoon. With muggy dewpoints around 70 degrees, it will feel like the low 90s.

Winds will be light from the south with speeds around 5 mph. Top gusts will be around 15 mph.

Any afternoon showers and storms will quickly dissipate this evening, leaving partly cloudy skies and a few areas of patchy fog. Temperatures will gradually retreat through the 70s and into the upper 60s for overnight lows.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Sun and clouds. An isolated afternoon shower. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a stray shower. Morning lows around 70. Afternoon highs near 90.

Tuesday: Rain and thunder. Morning lows in the low 70s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Finally less humid. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs near 80.
