Hot weather will continue today with rain chances continuing to dwindle.

Any precipitation today should be limited to a few small, isolated, and brief showers. These will be most likely from the late morning through the mid-afternoon hours. Many areas will not see rain, and those that do will not see much.

Outside of any showers, skies will be a mix of sun and clouds. The fair weather cumulus clouds will dissipate late in the afternoon, but thin clouds higher in the atmosphere are expected to move in this evening.

Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph today. Top gusts, coming in the afternoon, will be just over 20 mph.

High temperatures will push into the mid and upper 80s again today. Dewpoints will be just shy of 70 degrees, resulting in a heat index value near or just above 90 degrees.

Temperatures will drop to the mid 70s this evening and will end up around 70 degrees overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Sun and clouds. Showers and storms possible in the afternoon. Morning lows around 70. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s, but warmer if the rain holds off.

Tuesday: Scattered showers and storms possible. Morning lows in the low 70s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Possibly some morning and midday showers and storms. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a stray shower. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
