The overall weather pattern will persist for one more day today with hot and humid weather and a few afternoon storms.

Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds through the morning and into the afternoon hours. Through this time, conditions should be mostly dry with just a minimal chance for a stray shower.

By the mid-afternoon, a small disturbance will pass through the area. This will touch off showers and storms, which may organize into a small line. A few areas may miss out on the rain though, especially if the storms stay more scattered and cellular.

The window for rain will be open for a couple of hours, then should be reduced to almost zero again for the evening and overnight hours.

Severe weather is not expected, though lightning and some brief downpours will be possible.

Temperatures will be hot again with highs close to 90 degrees. With dewpoints in the upper 60s and low 70s, it will feel more like the mid 90s until the rain cools things off.

Southwest winds will blow at around 10 mph today and at 5-10 mph this evening. Top gusts will come in just over 25 mph.

Evening temperatures will slowly drop into the mid 70s, but may not get much lower through the overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Morning showers and storms possible. Sun and clouds for the afternoon. Morning lows in the mid 70s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Perhaps some afternoon showers and storms. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Maybe an early shower. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
