A cold front will move through today, ushering in a new regime of cooler, much less humid air.

To start the day, though, the atmosphere will still be soupy. Temperatures and dewpoints are both starting in the 70s.

Morning clouds and a few scattered showers will accompany the front. Winds will gradually turn to the west, the northwest this morning as the front sags south.

By the afternoon, the front will clear the area, ending the chances for rain showers. Sunshine will increase as northwest winds pick up to 5-10 mph.

Dewpoints will drop into the mid 60s. The sun will give temperatures a small boost, though, with highs making it into the low 80s.

Skies will be partly cloudy tonight with no additional rain expected. Evening temperatures will quickly drop into the mid 60s, then remain there through much of the overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Sun and clouds with lower humidity. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. A few afternoon showers and storms. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
