A weak cold front will pass through the region today with just small chances for rain.

Sunshine and areas of fog early this morning will transition over to a mix of sun and clouds during the second half of the morning. By the midday and early afternoon, the front will approach from the northwest.

Only some scattered showers will accompany the front. Some areas will probably not see any rain at all, and those that do will likely see rain only for a brief period with low amounts.

A couple rumbles of thunder may be possible, but that should be rare.

Behind the front, skies will return to a mix of sun and clouds. Northwest winds will pick up with speeds around 10 mph. A few gusts as high as 25 mph will be possible.

Temperatures will top out in the mid and upper 70s this afternoon. A quick drop to around 60 is expected this evening as skies clear. Overnight lows will be in the mid 50s with some areas of fog possible.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: More sun than clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Increasing clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
