High pressure building into the Great Lakes will provide sunny, cooler weather to the area today.

With the high to our northwest, surface winds today will be from the due north. The wind may be a bit blustery at times with speeds around 10 mph and gusts just over 25 mph.

The north wind will bring dry air into the area. Only a few fair weather clouds are expected to mix with the sunshine.

Despite the sunshine, highs this afternoon will only reach the low and mid 70s. Dewpoints will be very low in the mid 40s.

Late this afternoon, any clouds will dissipate, and the wind will die down. Clear skies are expected tonight to go along with the full moon.

Temperatures will quickly fall through the 60s and into the 50s. Low 50s are likely overnight with a few pockets of upper 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Increasing clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Possibly some showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
