Cortland County COVID-19 wrap-up for Saturday, Aug. 13

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County for the week starting Aug. 8. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

The county health department noted as of Aug. 12, the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county is low.

As of Aug. 11, there have been 11,953 total positive cases, over 715 hospitalizations and over 125 deaths in the county. According to the state as of Aug. 11, the daily average of positive tests amongst county residents is 9.5%, and the weekly average of cases per 100K is 17.0.

The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated that are 5 years-or-older is 63.3%. Additional numbers show that 58.8% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
