A cold front will move through the region this afternoon with a good chance for showers and thunderstorms.

A few stray showers and storms will be possible through the morning hours. Some sun should also mix in between any showers. Most areas will not see much rain before noon.

During the morning and early afternoon, south and southwest winds will blow with speeds up to 10 mph. Gusts over 25 mph will be possible as well.

Temperatures will depend on the amount of sunshine and the number of showers about but should reach the low and mid 80s by the early afternoon. Dewpoints will be in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Thunderstorms will develop during the early afternoon either overhead or just west of the region. Either way, rain is likely, and may come down hard at times.

A few thunderstorms may also have some blustery thunderstorm winds, and some limited, isolated wind damage will be possible.

Multiple rounds of rain and thunder are expected, continuing into late afternoon or early evening. From there, the rain should taper to a few lingering showers overnight.

Evening temperatures will fall into the mid 60s with overnight lows around 60 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:
