We will be between cold fronts today, one having moved through last night and another expected tonight.

For the most part, this will leave the day dry. Some morning clouds and a few spits of rain will be possible early on. Sunshine should then increase and remain for much of the afternoon.

West winds will blow at near or just over 10 mph. Gusts over 25 mph are possible but reaching 30 mph probably will not quite happen.

Temperatures will be cooler than the last few days, but not far from the seasonal averages. Look for highs in the low and mid 70s.

Around sunset, a broken band of showers will drop south into the area. These may be dissipating as they arrive, so receiving rain is not a guarantee. Anything that does fall should be brief.

Skies will be partly cloudy this evening and through the overnight. Winds will eventually turn to the northwest as the cold front moves through.

How quickly this happens will have some impact on the overnight temperatures. Overnight lows should at least reach the low 50s, but upper 40s may be more likely.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a few stray morning showers. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Friday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a brief afternoon thunderstorm. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs near 80.
