High pressure will continue to dominate the weather today, though some thin clouds will signal the approach of more active weather.

These clouds will be especially prevalent during the morning hours after they moved in overnight. This afternoon, they should gradually move east, but some fair-weather clouds will replace them.

Despite the clouds, there still should be a fair bit of sunshine. It may not be full sunshine, though, as the thin clouds filter its intensity some.

South winds early will turn to the southwest by the midday hours. Wind speeds will be above 5 mph, but probably not quite to 10 mph. Top gusts will come in around 20 mph.

Afternoon highs will reach into the low 80s. A few pockets could make a run at 85 degrees, especially if the sun is out from behind the thin clouds sooner.

Tonight, skies may clear for a time before becoming partly cloudy. A few stray showers or thunderstorms may even pop up late in the evening or overnight. Most areas will probably not see rain, though.

Temperatures during the evening will slowly drop through the 60s for an overnight low in the low 60s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: More clouds than sun. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Monday: Rain possible. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Tuesday: Rain possible. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Wednesday: A few showers possible. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
