The slow moving weather system that has been with us since the weekend will continue to influence our weather today.

Rain showers and some areas of steadier rain will be possible throughout the day. The best chance for steadier rain will be this morning, while the afternoon will have several on and off showers.

If the rain falls steadily this morning, some localized areas could see an inch or more. Otherwise, rainfall amounts should remain low.

It will be cloudy throughout the day once again. If there are any glimpses of sunshine, they will come during the second half of the afternoon.

A few stray showers and some areas of fog will continue into the evening and overnight. The chances for some breaks in the clouds will slowly increase.

Winds will be light from the east-northeast with speeds under 5 mph and top gusts of 10-15 mph.

High temperatures this afternoon will struggle to, but should reach 70 degrees. Evening temperatures will fall into the upper 50s with overnight lows in the mid 50s. If skies manage to clear any substantial amount, low 50s will be possible.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Sun, clouds, and perhaps a few showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Friday: Sunny with a few clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday: Sun early, then increasing clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Sunday: More clouds than sun. Maybe a late shower. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
