The weather will finally improve today, but it will be a process that takes much of the day to accomplish.

Throughout the morning, it will again be cloudy with areas of fog and drizzle and some scattered showers.

The fog and drizzle will dissipate the later in the day it gets, but a few showers will continue to be possible into the afternoon. Gradually, though, the showers will come to an end.

During the late afternoon, a little sunshine will start to break through some of the clouds. Skies will continue to gradually clear into the evening hours, with mostly clear skies during the overnight.

Winds will be out of the north today but will be scarcely noticeable. Wind speeds will be under 5 mph and top gusts under 15 mph.

Afternoon temperatures will rise into the low and perhaps mid 70s, but it should not quite make it to 75 degrees in most spots. Evening temperatures will quickly fall through the 60s and into the 50s with an overnight low in the low and mid 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sunny with a few clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday: Sun early, then increasing clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Sunday: More clouds than sun. Maybe a late shower. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Mostly cloudy. Scattered showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
