Here is a breakdown of recent COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.
The county health department noted as of Sept. 9, the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county is low.
As of Sept. 8, there have been 12,190 total positive cases, over 730 hospitalizations and close to 130 deaths in the county. According to the state as of Sept. 8, the daily average of positive tests amongst county residents is 11.4%, and the weekly average of cases per 100K is 23.3.
The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated that are 5 years-or-older is 63.4%. Additional numbers show that 59.1% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
