Cortland County COVID-19 wrap-up for Wednesday, Sept. 13

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from the past week. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

According to the county health department as of Sept. 9, the level of COVID-19 transmission in Cortland County is low. For the week of Sept. 5-11, there were 147 positive cases, one hospital admission (four currently hospitalized), but no new deaths.

As of Sept. 10, there have been 15,831 total cases counted, 737 total hospitalizations and 128 deaths in the county. According to the state’s current COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 12.9% and 27.5, respectively.

The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is 60.3%, with 63.4% of residents that are 5 years-or-older reported as fully vaccinated. Additional county numbers show that 59.1% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
