Varsity Girls Soccer: Marathon vs. Spencer Van Etten (SVE)

The Marathon Lady Olympians beat SVE with a final score of 3-2 in order to improve to a 1-2 record.
According to Marathon Head Coach Elizabeth Duncan, the game was called 17 minutes into the second half because of poor weather conditions.
Marathon was led by Marissa Allen (2 goals), Anna Hoyt (1 goal), Addison Oram (2 assists), Abby Ensign (1 assist).
Marathon goalkeeper Brenna VanDee made 8 saves in the game.
Up next, the Lady Olympians will host Moravia on Thursday (September 15th) at 4:30pm.

The Cortland Purple Tigers lost a tough game to Jamesville-Dewitt 0-5 Tuesday night.
With this loss, Cortland has fallen to an overall record of 1-3.
Jamesville-Dewitt was led by Megan Baker (2 goals & 2 assists), Harmony Russell (1 goal & 1 assist), Amanda Aitken (1 goal), Meghan Kenna (1 goal), and Brooke Bort (1 assist).
Cortland’s Lauren Mott made a total of 13 saves in the game.
Cortland is now scheduled to play Central Square on the road this Thursday (September 15th) at 6:30pm.

Homer was led by Catherine Apker (4 saves) and Alex Kellaway (2 saves).
Phoenix was led by Paige Pinkley (1 goal), Madison Quaco (1 assist), and Sara Ruetsch (4 saves).
The Lady Trojans will now look to shake off this loss, as they prepare to play Skaneateles on the road this Thursday (September 15th) at 6:30pm.
