High pressure will build in from the west, keeping our weather clear but also cool.

Bright, sun-filled skies are expected from start to finish today. If there are any clouds, they will likely just be a few thin strands of cirrus clouds or perhaps a couple of small puffs of fair-weather cumulus clouds.

A steady north-northwest wind will blow with speeds of 5-10 mph. Top gusts on the day will be around 20 mph.

The north wind will bring cool air into the region, negating the impact of the sunny day. High temperatures will only manage to reach the low 60s.

Clear skies and light winds tonight will send temperatures tumbling in the evening. It will be a quick fall into the mid 40s during the evening hours with overnight lows a couple degrees on either side of 40 degrees.

The best chance for upper 30s will be in the southern parts of the county.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sun and thin clouds. Morning lows around 40. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Sunday: Clouds, some sun, and scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Cloudy with showers and storms. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
