Varsity Boys Golf: Homer vs. Chittenango

The Homer Trojans improved to a 5-1 record after beating Chittenango with a team score of 214-227. (Reminder: Lowest score in golf wins).

Varsity Football: Cortland vs. Camden

The Cortland Tigers fell to an 0-2 record after losing to Camden with a score of 20-35 on the road Thursday night. 

Cortland’s points were scored by Wyatt Tinker (1 rushing touchdown), Daniel Jackson (rushing touchdown), Ryan Kline (1 rushing touchdown), and Jack Phelan (2 extra point kicks). 

Camden’s points were scored by Noah Morse (2 rushing touchdowns), Isaac Lynch (2 receiving touchdowns), Trey Kimball (1 rushing touchdown), Connor Dean (2 touchdowns thrown), and Tyler Spencer (5 extra point kicks). 

Up next, Cortland will play Westhill on the road on Friday (September 23rd) at 6:30pm. 

Varsity Girls Soccer: Marathon vs. Moravia

The Marathon Lady Olympians beat Moravia 6-0 at home Thursday evening. 

With this win, Marathon currently holds a 2-2 record. 

Marathon was led by Kennedy Eaton (1 goal), Addison Oram (1 goal & 2 assists), Abby Ensign (1 goal & 2 assists), Megan Howard (2 goals), Marissa Allen (1 goal), Anna Hoyt (1 assist), Brenna VanDee (5 saves), and Kendre Euson (1 save). 

Moravia goalkeeper Corinne Leonard made 8 saves in the game.

Marathon’s next game will be played at home against Whitney Point this Saturday (September 17th) at 10am. 

Varsity Girls Soccer: Cortland vs. Central Square

With this result, Cortland has fallen to a 1-4 record. 

Central Square was led by Ryan Colton (6 goals) and Hannah Reichard (1 goal).

The Homer Lady Trojans fell to a 3-2-1 record after losing to Skaneateles 0-3 on the road Thursday night.

Homer will now play on the road against Hannibal on Tuesday (September 20th) at 4:30pm.

The Cortland Purple Tigers lost 1-3 against Central square, making them fall to an overall record of 1-5. 

Cortland was led by Robbie Atkins (1 goal), David Kelchner (1 assist), and Paul Hansen (12 saves). 

Central Square was led by Alex Maciariello (1 goal & 2 assists), Jacob Pierson (1 goal), Chris Sanford (1 goal), Gavin Ribarovski (1 assist), and Andrew Watrous (6 saves). 

Cortland will now look forward to playing Auburn on the road on Tuesday (September 20th) at 7pm.

The Homer Trojans now hold a 3-1-1 record after beating Solvay 3-1 at home Thursday night. 

Homer was led by Braydon Fox (2 goals), Caleb Ficchi (1 goal), Lance Heyer (1 assist), Tyler VanEtten (1 assist), and Evan Butts (4 saves). 

Solvay was led by Arkadii Ososkalo (1 goal), Oleksandr Matyiuk (1 assist), and Redd Long (9 saves). 

Homer’s next game is scheduled to be played on the road this upcoming Thursday (September 22nd) against Mexico at 5:30pm. .

Varsity Volleyball: Homer vs. Hamilton

The Homer Varsity Volleyball team defeated Hamilton in four sets at home Thursday night in order to improve to a 4-3 record.. 

Homer was led by Lilly Sorenson (18 kills, 22 digs & 3 aces), Madison Wethje (31 assists, 6 digs, 3 kills & 2 aces), and Mackenzie Hubbard (8 kills, 11 digs & 1 block). 

Hamilton was led by Colleen Kelly (9 kills, 17 digs, 4 aces & 1 assist), McKinley Craven (17 assists, 15 digs, 3 kills & 1 ace), and Megan Crowell (5 kills, 14 digs & 1 ace). 

Up next, Homer will play Syracuse ITC at home on Tuesday (September 20th) at 6pm.
