County Sheriff’s Office: Woman gets into altercation in front of child

A town of Cortlandville woman was arrested Sunday evening after a verbal altercation turned into a physical altercation, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.

According to the report, the incident took place on Preble Road in the town of Preble. The report states that the verbal/physical altercation was between Kelsey M. Lee, 29, and a male victim.

In the midst of the altercation, Lee threw an object, which struck a 3-year old child. The child, however, was not injured, the report states.

Lee was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child (a Class-A Misdemeanor). She was arraigned and released on one’s own recognizance. Lee is due to appear in Preble court at 6 p.m. Oct. 17.
