Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Saturday, Sept. 24

Here is a breakdown of recent COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

The county health department reported on Friday that the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county has dropped back down from medium to low.

As of Sept. 22, there have been 12,392 total positive cases, about 740 hospitalizations and close to 130 deaths in the county. According to the state as of Sept. 22, the daily average of positive tests amongst county residents is 11.1%, and the weekly average of cases per 100K is 30.2.

The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated that are 5 years-or-older is 63.4%. Additional numbers show that 59.2% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
