Cool, moist air behind the low pressure system that has kept our weather unsettled all week will produce a few more lake effect rain showers today.

Lake effect rain showers will be most likely throughout the morning hours. A few showers will likely linger into the afternoon, but their coverage and intensity should drop.

The best chance for no rain at all will be in the second half of the afternoon. This will also be when the best chance for sunshine occurs.

Winds will be from the northwest at up to 10 mph. Top gusts on the day should be just over 20 mph.

With the clouds, showers, and northwest winds, temperatures will be chilly. Look for highs to only reach the mid 50s.

Tonight, the lake effect will get a little new life and a slight increase in shower activity is expected. This will persist through the night.

The clouds and showers should hold temperatures to the low 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Some morning clouds and perhaps an early shower. Then turning sunny. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Friday: Sunny with some late clouds ahead of the remains of Hurricane Ian. Morning lows in the mid 30s with areas of frost. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Saturday: Thin overcast. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
