The remains of Hurricane Ian continue to spiral across the Mid-Atlantic region, being just close enough for some clouds.

The clouds today will be thinnest in the morning but should increase and thicken before noon. Some filtered sunshine will remain possible through the afternoon despite the overcast.

Winds will be northerly today with the center of low pressure associated with Ian moving off the Atlantic coast. Wind speeds will be greater than 5 mph but less than 10 mph with gusts just under 20 mph.

Between the clouds and the northerly winds, temperatures will remain cool. Look for afternoon highs to reach the upper 50s, though a few hilltops may stick closer to 55 degrees.

At least partial cloud cover will remain in place overnight, if not a full-blown overcast.

That should keep temperatures a couple of degrees warmer than last night, but upper 30s are still likely. Mid 30s will be possible if any clearing takes hold overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Sun filtered by clouds. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs near 60.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Mild. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Friday: Clouds, some sun, and a few showers. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
