Clouds associated with the remains of Ian will linger over the area for one final day today.

The clouds may thin at times, allowing for some sunshine here or there.

However, some rain showers area also in the realm of possibility, especially in the southern reaches of the county. The chances for rain are relatively low, though, so most areas will probably end up staying dry.

A light north wind will continue, much like yesterday, with speeds just over 5 mph. Top gusts will come in around 20 mph.

Temperatures will add a couple of degrees over yesterday with highs reaching about 60 degrees.

As long as the clouds remain through the evening and overnight, temperatures will drop to around 40 degrees. This is the most likely scenario.

However, if skies end up clearing before dawn, pockets of 30s will be possible.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Becoming mostly sunny. Morning lows around 40. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Mild. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Friday: Clouds, some sun, and a few showers. Morning highs in the upper 50s with afternoon temperatures falling to the upper 40s.

Saturday: Morning clouds and lake effect rain showers. Increasing afternoon sunshine. Much cooler. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.
