A Cortland County man is facing a second-degree rape charge after he allegedly had “inappropriate sexual contact” with a victim, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.
The report states that the county sheriff’s office conducted an investigation, after they received a sex crime report that stemmed from an incident on July 1 of this year.
The investigation found that Charles R. Warren, 60 of Lapp Hill Road in the Town of Solon, is the suspect. The report also notes that Warren personally knows the victim.
Warren’s second-degree rape charge is a Class-D Felony. He was arrested on Wednesday, and arraigned and released on one’s own recognizance.
Warren will appear in Solon town court at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 26.
