Further details on recent tractor trailer accident

The New York State Police reported further details on the tractor trailer accident in the town of Homer over the weekend.

The report noted that an undisclosed 72-year male of Longueuil, Quebec City, was the driver of the tractor trailer.

Around 5:30 a.m. this past Saturday, the male was heading north on Interstate-81 when he “went into the median,” swerved off the highway and onto the Little York Crossing Road in Homer near the I-81 overpass, and “came to rest” against a guard rail.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured. The tractor trailer was removed about three hours later, and authorities cleared the scene around 10 a.m.
