Sectional playoff matchups for the Marathon varsity boys & girls soccer and field hockey squads:
Marathon Boys Soccer

The boys’ soccer team is the 2nd seed in the Class D bracket. The Olympians (12-2-1) have a bye into the quarterfinal round. They will face the winner of the first round matchup between 7th-seeded Margaretville (9-3-1) and 10th-seeded Hunter-Tannersville (5-5-1) at 3:30 p.m. next Saturday.
Marathon Girls Soccer

The girls’ soccer team is the 7th seed in the Class D bracket. The Olympians (8-6-1) will host 13th-seeded Margaretville (7-5) in the first round at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The winner of this game will take on the winner of 3rd-seeded Odessa-Montour (9-5) and 14th-seeded Sharon Springs (7-6) in the quarterfinal round next Saturday.

The field hockey squad is the fifth seed in the Class D bracket. The Olympians (8-8) will head to Owego Free Academy next Thursday for a 5 p.m. quarterfinal round matchup against the Indians. The winner of this game moves on to the semifinal round.
